Christopher (Chris) Gamper is a busy working drummer in the San Francisco Bay Area. Take a listen to his current and most recent projects and you will hear recorded examples of Chris demonstrating his grooviness on a wide range of styles from straight ahead jazz (Chris Gamper Trio, Jazz Fourtet), funk and world beat (Standard Funk, Hop Sauce), alternative rock (Cure For Gravity), pop rock (Sugar Shack), party cover bands (Social Funktion). Check out Chris' live drumming regularly with these groups and many more at various clubs and restaurants around the Bay Area. Chris says "I am especially proud to be a part of bands and play with musicians that are writing, recording and performing original material and unique arrangements of other composers. I can create my own musical vocabulary by developing a sound and style just for that band. My passion for drums and new gear then allows me to really bring to life the sound I am envisioning." Chris would like to thank his many friends in the drum industry that have helped him to amass an arsenal of drums and percussion and is proud to have their support, especially, Canopus Drums and Aquarian Drum Heads who he is currently signed on with. Other supporters past and present include Mapex Drums, Bosphorus Cymbals, Amedia Cymbals, Crescent Cymbals, Ford Custom Drums, Gruv Gear, MCD Percussion.
